There was an important job to be done!
Everybody was asked to do it.
Everybody was sure Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job.
Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realised that Everybody wouldn’t do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when actually Nobody asked Anybody.
So this is a story about four people: Everybody, Somebody, Anybody & Nobody.
Sounds familiar?
In my profession, we resemble the 4 people.
There is no need for Anybody to inform us what we need to do for Somebody (our client) as we need to be that Somebody (financial consultant) to take care of Everybody especially people who are our client so that Somebody (intended beneficiaries) will benefit from the work we do for Everybody.
Starting on an estate planning makes sense so that everybody in the family would benefit from the life-work that we intended to hand over, not just to anybody who cannot handle the legacy on somebody’s behalf.
